Wow. What a day I've had!
I spent most of the day, off and on, putting the finishing touches on a query letter for Redbook Magazine. I'm pitching an essay to them about marriage: how to stay married, what makes a marriage work, what needs to be present in order to keep your marriage on the right track. Not that I'm such an expert on the subject but the other day I was talking to my kids and they told me that they're the only kids they know with both their parents still together. Everyone's divorced. Or separated. Or dead. That's scary.

This is a blog that I am creating specifically to serve as a journal of my experiences while I transition from one career to another. Currently, I am working as a quasi-paralegal and part-time insurance sales agent. I am beginning (again) to pursue freelance writing.
